As this season is all about being feminine and ladylike, try coupling a pencil dress with high heels or platforms and topping it off with an uber fashionable cropped cape.
For those offices that haven’t seemed to grasp the concept that icy mornings mean it’s too cold to sit at a desk without a coat, the versatile oversized cardigan is right up your street! For a smart yet cosy look, couple one with leggings or skinny trousers tucked into tall boots.
Shades of grey, layered necklaces and faux fur are also a few new trends for this Autumn/Winter so try to integrate some of that in too.
Glam Wear
I love sequins. They can make any single item stand out from the crowd. That is why I’m glad I can max them out this season. They can work in everyday life as well as glamorous evening dos. It’s best to wear them in their natural colours, like silver, black or cream. If you are wearing sequins for work keep it simple, with simple accessories.
But Christmas is near and there are parties to attend. Wearing sequin dresses can definitely make you stand out, but they do work better on shorter dresses, a long dress can be too overpowering. If a dress is too much sequin for you, then try a skirt, worn with black opaque tights and low heels, it can create a lovely evening look.
I know sequins aren’t for everyone, and that’s why you will be happy to know, the little black dress is here to stay. LBD’s fit right into the theme this season of feminine and ladylikeness; however the pieces this year incorporate a little sheer material for a hint of sexiness, so don’t choose anything too revealing.
