Changes in Home-Buyer Tax Credit Form

The taxpayers who are claiming credit must use their Internal Revenue Service form and file paper income tax return since it is one of the new required documentation.
For qualified first time home buyer tax credit, they can get up to ten per cent of the price of the home purchase or a $8,000 minimum. This new law also allows long-term residents of the same home to claim this when purchasing new home. The party who are in question should have resided at their same main residence for the five consecutive years during their eight year period that is ending on the purchase date of their new home.
IRS stepped up enforcement of compliance regarding Home-buyer tax credit. This may delay refunds while the claims are still being check for their authenticity and for errors. The taxpayers who are claiming Home-buyer tax credit can use IRS free file still while for preparing their returns. However, they need to print out their form and also provide paper copy to the IRS along with the required documentations.
